Real advisory engagement on completion

You've spent decades building expertise — in strategy, operations, finance, governance, leadership. The social sector desperately needs exactly that. What it doesn't need is another well-meaning donor or weekend volunteer.

CIA is a structured certification that gives you the sector literacy, advisory tools, and ethical grounding to walk into a foundation or NGO and actually move the needle — not just show up.

20 hours. Online. Weekends. And when you're done, you don't just get a certificate — you get matched with an organisation that fits your expertise and cause.

Three things
that set this apart.

01
Earn a credential that signals intent
CIA isn't a participation certificate. It's built on rigour — sector literacy, governance, ethics, compliance. Something that holds up when you introduce yourself to a foundation board.
02
Walk away with more than a certificate
The program ends with a real advisory engagement — an NGO or foundation where your specific expertise is needed, with clear scope and expectations on both sides.
03
Join a cohort of people like you
Senior professionals and entrepreneurs who are done talking about impact and ready to act. The cohort itself becomes a network that's genuinely useful.

Built on rigour.
Designed for action.

Sector literacy
Read NGOs the way you read a P&L. Understand development data, HDI, MPI, funding models — so you can ask the right questions from day one.
Advisory confidence
Know exactly how to show up, scope your engagement, avoid conflict of interest, and add value without overstepping.
Governance fluency
Compliance, 80G, FCRA, board structures, fundraising mechanics — the operational reality of running an NGO, demystified.
The CIA credential
Matched to a cause you care about. A credential that tells foundations and boards exactly who they're getting — and why it matters.

Questions we get asked.

Volunteering is operational — you show up and execute tasks. CIA prepares you to operate at a strategic level: sitting on advisory boards, running due diligence on NGOs, shaping fundraising strategy, or guiding governance. The program builds sector literacy that makes your corporate expertise actually transferable.
Four modules: India's development reality (data literacy, key indicators), the non-profit sector (landscape, funding, compliance), running an NGO (governance, fundraising, advocacy), and the role of the impact advisor (ethics, advisory structures, conflict of interest). Each includes live sessions and a hands-on assignment.
Once certified, you're matched with a foundation or non-profit based on your expertise and cause area preference. The match is structured — not a vague introduction, but a defined advisory engagement with clear scope and expectations on both sides.
It's designed not to conflict. The program runs on weekends, and post-certification engagements are structured advisory roles — not full-time commitments. Most participants find the credibility and network from sector work complements their corporate profile, especially at the leadership level.
As an advisor, your leverage is highest in areas like governance, fundraising strategy, donor communications, or building internal systems — things most NGOs lack senior bandwidth for. You're unlikely to fix a cause in a year, but you can meaningfully move one lever the organisation has been stuck on.
Senior industry professionals and accomplished entrepreneurs who want to do substantive impact work — not write a cheque, not join a gala — but actually deploy their expertise where it's scarce.
